Death case trial re-assigned to April term

A docket published for a week of Oconee General Sessions Court next month places a four-year old death case in Seneca as number one for trial.  Listened atop the docket for the April 18 term is the state’s case against Mack Adam Gaines, charged with neglect of vulnerable adult and abuse of neglect resulting in the death of a vulnerable adult.  On January 17, 2018, Alma Louise Gaines died of what the coroner’s office called “medical complications secondary to her fall and neglect by a family member in providing her assistance.”  Alma Louise Gaines was 92 years old.
