Deal brewing between two water suppliers

A highway 24 water line connecting Westminster water to Pioneer Rural Water District at Oakway is the subject of a potential sale involving the two suppliers.  After this week’s Pioneer board of directors’ meeting, general manager Terry Pruitt said he will reach out to Westminster and extend an offer to buy the line for $70 thousand.  Pruitt says the line runs about five miles.  Kevin Bronson, Westminster administrator, says his city is willing to entertain the offer.  And Bronson added this:  “Once we review the pricing and terms we will present it to the city council for its consideration.  This issue has taken a considerable amount of time so I expect our response to be swift.”
