CurTec’s grand opening in Oconee County

You have to drive deep into an Oconee industry park to find it.  But if you’re in the Industry and Technology Park on Highway 11, drive to the back, make a right turn, and you’ll find a Dutch company’s first manufacturing operation in the U-S.  It’s inside a new, 33 thousand square foot building where, at first, a handful of employees are engaged in the business of plastic bulk packaging for, among others, pharmaceutical companies.  CurTec USA held its grand opening today, to which several of the company officials based in the Netherlands made the occasion after a flight across the Atlantic.  101.7/WGOG NEWS spoke with CEO Bart van Berkel and site manager Steve Verschaeve and learned why Oconee was selected for their company’s first U-S location.
