COVID now…compared to one year ago

The following story is not purposed to understate the threat that COVID-19 still spreads today.  But, compared to one year ago, there’s at least some encouragement to take from the numbers associated then and now from the Oconee County School District.  A year ago, Dr. Thorsland, the superintendent, reported the public schools were facing more cases than they did a year earlier, in 2020.   Our memory also is that there was then such an outbreak among either Walhalla High football players or their opponents, that the first four games of the Hogs’ season last year were canceled.
