Clemson junior classman makes history

A junior at Clemson University made history late last year when he became the first student with Down syndrome to complete an American Sign Language course, and Taylor Freeman did it by defying limitations.  Her path to enroll in lecturer Tasha Goodrich’s class united member of the Clemson Family — each encouraging Freeman’s to learn a new and expressive way to communicate.  Freeman is in the post-secondary education program for students with intellectual disabilities that prioritizes job skills and independent living.
