Clemson alert for public hearing

A public hearing in Clemson in two weeks could bring out the crowds.  A planned development application, if approved, could lead to major changes inside the corporate limits.  If approved, nine parcels of more than five-and-one-third acres near Keowee Trail and Wall Street, along with a small easement, are to be developed as a mixed-use planned development.  The hearing will be 5 o’clock Monday evening, March 4 at city hall.  Here’s what the city is saying about the project location:  “The project site is located across the street from the Abernathy Park, and extends eastward to Wall Street.  Existing development on the properties ranges from old, residential structures to ongoing commercial operations.
