“Clearinghouse for humans”

On property bordering an E. Main Street curve at Seneca, there is word that businessmen intend to build what’s called a clearinghouse for people in need.  According to Utica activist Mary Beth Van Pelt, two businessmen envision a facility to help troubled people find out where they might find lodging and provide information on finding work.  Van Pelt calls it a “clearinghouse for humans.”
