City politics heat up

The public gets the chance tonight to meet the men and women who are the candidates in next month’s Walhalla city elections.  A meet-and-greet the candidates is part of the Partners for Progress regular meeting at 6:30 tonight at the Community Depot on S. College Street.  And the League of Women Voters Oconee and Pickens today announced two candidate forums in the next few weeks.  A forum for the Walhalla candidates will be 6:30 to 8 o’clock Monday night, October 23 at the Walhalla Middle School.  A forum for Seneca City Council candidates will take place 6:30 to 8 on Thursday night, November 2 at Seneca’s Gignilliat Community Center.
