City fire fighters no longer primary in nearby community

The full-time, cross-trained fire fighters in the city of Seneca, starting tomorrow, will no longer act as the primary response stations to emergencies in the Bountyland Community.  Announcement by Seneca Chief Richie Caudill says tomorrow is the day that the primary responders to Bountyland calls will be that community’s new county-operated fire station.  Caudill said, “Seneca Fire has protected this area 30-plus years and it’s been an absolute pleasure to provide that service for as long as we have..”  The Seneca chief points out that, when requested, his department will respond there on major events and is confident that the Oconee Bountyland station and its personnel will provide the same level of service.  The new Bountyland station fronts SC 188 in front of Marantha Baptist Church.
