Church rallies to aid tragic accident victim

“Our church is mission-minded, very much” is how the Rev. Kenny Owens explains why the First Baptist Church of Westminster is helping a city of Toccoa, Georgia employee, Zach Johnson, overcome the loss of his legs when he was entrapped December in a baler machine.  The Rev. Owens visited Johnson and came away admiring the man’s spirits, considering that he lost both legs from the knee down.  Wal-Mart gift cards are likely the best way to help Johnson, who is married and has children, says the pastor.  The audience during a recent First Baptist Church Christmas program was invited to help.  One way the general public may help is to drop off a contribution in care of Zach Johnson at the First Baptist Church, during church office hours.
