New South Carolina COVID-19 stats

COVID-19 Test percentage positivity during a three-day period last week ranged between 4.7% and 5.5%.  For each day Thursday-thru-Saturday–South Carolina DHEC counts–showed total daily cases below one thousand.  New confirmed deaths were six on Thursday; 22 Friday; and 42 Saturday, which included one Oconeean.

Police make arrest at Chicopee Field

Walhalla’s Chicopee Field was the scene this weekend of an arrest made by the city police.  Multiple charges were placed against a West Union resident, Bryan Ashley Evans.  The police say one of the charges—assault police officer while arresting arrest—was made as a police officer attempted to serve the 42-year old Evans with a court bench warrant.
