Lawsuit to be settled

Oconee will settle a lawsuit by one of the contractors involved in the county broadband network project.  After a closed session, County Council last night voted to settle by paying $630 thousand to the company, MP2Net.  According to county officials, the payment is a refund plus accrued interest and involves no penalty.
