Seneca’s Hobby Lobby opens

The weather was less than ideal at Seneca this morning, but that didn’t deter the opening of a new anchor store at the Applewood Shopping Center. The ribbon was cut for Hobby Lobby, which will do business in the building formerly used by K-Mart. Among those attending were members of the Gallant family, the original developers of the shopping center.

Noon hour acciddent with injuries

State troopers reported injuries in a pair of accidents during the noon hour today in Oconee County. At least one car was left badly smashed as the result of an accident on highway 28 at Halfway Branch. A second accident with injuries occurred on the Sandifer Boulevard near Sheep Farm Road.
