Earth shakes in Seneca

The sleep of some Seneca residents was apparently interrupted this morning when the ground shook beneath them. Oconee County Dispatch reports an earthquake of a 4.4 magnitude around 4:30 this morning. Callers to the Sheriff’s Office reported they felt a tremor. No known damage resulted.
