A man missing overnight Saturday at Walhalla’s Stumphouse Mountain Park has been found OK, but dehydrated and wet from last night’s storm. City of Walhalla Fire Chief, Burton says the incident is a reminder that outdoor adventurers should be prepared for sudden summer storms.

Water Related Death

This afternoon, the body of a 53 year-old Seneca man was discovered floating in the Martin Creek Basin of Lake Hartwell. This incident occurred behind his home located off Lynnhaven Drive near Seneca. According to Oconee County Coroner, Karl Addis, based on the information gathered at the incident location, this death appears to be a suicide by drowning.
