Serious West Union fire early Saturday

An investigation is being required to get to the bottom of why uninhabited mobile home burned early Saturday near West Union.  Walhalla Fire Department assisted West Union volunteers at the scene of the single-wide mobile home.  Heavy fire damage occurred at the Rose Drive location near the Burns Mill Road.  Fire fighters were alerted at 4:30 am.

The 67-year-old Westminster woman killed in a Saturday morning traffic accident in rural Oconee County was Deborah Parker.  Coroner Karl Addis says Parker died of multiple traumatic injuries and her death is accidental.  The state patrol reported Parker was involved in a head-on, two-car accident on highway 24 at Nalley Valley Lane near Townville.  9-1-1 received a call around 7:15 […]
