Man dies from hypothermia   

Anderson County’s Lawrence Road the scene this week of a fatal medical call that featured an elderly man, a victim of hypothermia.  Coroner Greg Shore said the victim, Ernest Howard Nash, was treated and sent to the hospital where he died.  Preliminary investigation shows that 67-year-old Nash stayed in a home without an adequate heating source.

Seneca home fire

  The occupant of a Seneca home was found OK at the scene yesterday morning of the home fire on WN 2nd Street.  Firefighters were alerted just before 10:45 am and, at the scene, set up a water supply line from a corner hydrant.  They needed about 20 minutes to stop the fire.

A new eatery for Westminster

A commercial building on Westminster. E. Main Street will again be a place for breakfast and lunch dining.  Lauren Bryson announces that she has acquired the former Water’s restaurant building and intends to open in early March Palmetto Biscuit Company.  Bryson says Palmetto Biscuit Company will feature homemade meals.
