Case made for illegal solicitation at store address

A Seneca man has been cited by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office for illegally soliciting from the public while on Wal-Mart store property near Seneca.  A deputy says he encountered a man Friday night standing on the median facing traffic headed to the traffic light on the Sandifer Boulevard – a sign that read “Need anything to get by the day, thank you.”  The deputy said he advised the 28-year old man that it’s illegal to solicit anything from the public near a public roadway.  Two other charges were placed:  resisting arrest and entering premises after warning.
