Business tax rate cuts

Unemployment insurance tax rates will drop or remain the same in 2024 for all South Carolina employers.  Announcement by the governor and the state director of unemployment insurance credits diligence and a robust economy for a third year of a decrease or not increase.  Although tax rates for most tax classes are lower than 2023 levels, individual businesses may still move between classes based on their activity of unemployment claims. Tax notices are to be mailed to businesses Monday, November 13.
