About DECA
DECA is an international organization for high school students who are interested in pursuing
careers in business, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship & hospitality. The organization
provides students with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving
skills through a variety of activities and career competitions.
The Region Competition is the first level of competition for the school year. It is an opportunity
for them to showcase their skills and compete against other students from across the upstate.
The competition will also provide students with the chance to network with business
professionals and learn more about career opportunities in business.
Business professionals are needed to judge these events. Judges will have the chance to see
firsthand the talent and potential of the next generation of business leaders. It is helpful, but not
required that our judges have experience in the industry related to the event. If you are interested in being a judge for this, call 864/916-0160 or email [email protected].
