Burglary arrest near Westminster
A 56-year old man in Mountain Rest was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly entered a home near Westminster at night, without consent. According to Oconee Sheriff’s Office, David Wayne Elliott of highway 107 is charged with first degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance, assault and battery 3rd degree, malicious injury to property, and breach of peace. Fifty-six year old Elliott was arrested after a deputy was allowed to go into the home – after being told that Elliott had locked himself inside the home.
