Bears seen in Walhalla and Westminster

Eyewitness and video surveillance accounts this week tell of bear sightings in both Walhalla and Westminster.  The police say a bear was seen yesterday going through trash cans on Park Avenue.  Earlier this week, there was a social media report of a bear spotted between two E. Main Street houses.  A couple of weeks back, video surveillance indicated a bear on the porch of a home in Walhalla’s Mountain View subdivision at 11:30 at night.
