Bank heist in NE Georgia
A bank robbery went down early afternoon yesterday at Lavonia, Georgia. Lake Hartwell Radio WLHR quotes a police officer as saying that at 1:16 yesterday afternoon a black male entered the Truist Bank on Jones Street and demanded money. It was unknown if the intruder left on foot or in a vehicle. Assistant Police Chief Daniel Carson said a K-9 tracked the suspect a few feet but lost the scent. Age is unknown. He wore black shoes, khaki pants, a light-colored shirt, and a surgical mask. If anyone can help the Lavonia Police solve the crime, call 9-1-1 or 706/356-4848.
