Backup generators for the city of Westminster

A total cost for generators at four city of Westminster locations comes to $286 thousand, but the city’s cost would be some $28 and a half thousand dollars, according to information provided the city council in advance of tomorrow night’s meeting.  At their 6 o’clock meeting at the fire department, the council will be asked to sign-off on application to the state Emergency Management Department that commits the city to meet 10% of the costs to install back-up generators at city hall, the Apple Tower water tank, the utility shop, and the highway 76 water pump.
