Contrary to word that spread yesterday, Stacy Jackson says a decision on whether to hold or cancel this year’s Walhalla Oktoberfest is not final.  Jackson is part of the 13-member Oktoberfest Committee that will meet Sunday to make the decision.

A car left an Oconee County country road and hit a tree.  From last evening’s accident inside the Picket Post/Camp Oak Volunteer Fire Department territory, the driver was flown by helicopter for medical treatment.  The accident occurred on the Jumping Branch Road.

Fire broke out last night in an abandoned mobile home near the city limits of Seneca.  The fire was reported shortly after 9:30 in an abandoned mobile in the B-and-B Trailer Park near Utica.
