An additional 981 cases of COVID-19 are reported by the state health agency in the report issued for Monday.  DHEC also confirmed 27 new deaths, including an elderly Pickens County resident.  Among the 981 new cases, 28 are in Oconee County.  The total test results reported to DHEC statewide Sunday were 6,888–a positivity of 14.7%.

JoAnn Johnson no longer is the executive director of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce.  In a Facebook post, she writes:  “Friends, Just wanting everyone to know that I am no longer employed by the Chamber of Commerce.  Be blessed.”

 No one was hurt, but heavy vehicle damage occurred in a weekend car accident on Seneca’s 123 By-Pass.  The accident was reported at 4:45 pm Saturday in the westbound lanes at the Pine Cliff Drive intersection.  Involved were a Kia SUV driven by a 53-year old Seneca woman and a 1995 Audi sedan driven by a 55-year old Seneca man.  […]

A job fair Wednesday in Greenville will be conducted as a drive-thru event.  The job fair will take place 9 am to 1 pm Wednesday at the food bank Harvest of Hope at 2818 White Horse Drive.  Without having to leave your vehicle, curbside food will be offered, along with information about job opportunities.

Volunteers for the Oconee Humane Society will distribute pet food at no charge tomorrow near Seneca.  Called “Thankful Tuesday”, this giveaway of dog and cat food will take place from 2 to 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Ann Hope United Methodist Church at 702 Goddard Avenue.
