Cocaine trafficking arrest made Friday at Seneca

A 33-year old Seneca man remained jailed over the weekend after his drug arrest early Friday, as the result of a traffic stop by an Oconee sheriff’s deputy.  The sheriff’s office today identified Darren Bernard Gibson as the driver of a Dodge Challenger who was charged with trafficking in cocaine third or subsequent offense.  According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy stopped the Dodge Challenger around the 2 o’clock hour Friday morning after a record check indicated the car’s Texas license plate was registered to a Dodge truck.  During a search of Gibson’s person, a plastic bag of narcotics was found and identified, according to the sheriff’s office, as cocaine.
