Man and woman accused of stealing guns

A man and a woman have been arrested and charged with the burglary of a home near West Union where guns and other items were stolen.  The sheriff’s office announces burglary and other charges against James Harold Ramey, 38, of Chambers Hill Drive, Seneca and Laura Michelle McAlister, 47, of Lusk Road, Walhalla.  Ramey and McAlister were jailed Friday afternoon after a deputy investigated reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Cranes Crossing Drive near the Burnt Tanyard Road.  According to the sheriff’s office, the crime scene was a home on Big Brown Drive near Country Junction Road.  Later the stolen goods were retrieved from an address on Fairview Church Road.
