Homicide victim identified

The Pickens County deputy coroner, Chad Hope, has identified the victim in the Wednesday case of homicide near Easley.  The victim on Zion Heights Court was Augustin Demsa, 41 years old.  The case is being investigated by the Pickens Sheriff’s Office as a potential domestic shooting.

Four cases on this month’s trial docket

Four cases are on the list for potential trials during Oconee General Sessions Court week–October 25-29.  In those cases, one man is charged with domestic violence high and aggravated. A second defendant faces disorderly and resisting arrest charges.  Two other men are charged with traffic offenses.  Tenth Circuit Judge Lawton McIntosh will preside.
