Man charged in sex offense at Seneca

Chief Deputy Kevin Davis of the Oconee Sheriff’s Office says an investigation is ongoing into an incident in which a man at Seneca allegedly exposed himself to a youngster.  The arrest of Adam Lane Wheeler, 32 years old, took place Wednesday.  According to Davis, the accused is charged in a warrant with exposure of private parts in a lewd manner.

Tuesday’s COVID-19 state numbers are in

This afternoon’s COVID-19 report from the state health agency reveals 1,205 new South Carolina cases–27 of them in Oconee County.  The newest numbers reflect the count by 11:59 Tuesday night.  Added to the South Carolina virus death toll:  59 individuals, including an additional Oconee resident.  Of 29,431  test results received, the newest positivity:  8.5%.
