Oops.  We’ve underestimated the feed that you can expect Saturday morning at the Salem Fire Department.  It’s a lot more than a pancake serving.  As they say in the South, the 6 to 11 am breakfast feed will include “all the fixins’.”  That means, besides pancakes, eggs, grits, sausage, country ham, etc.  Proceeds benefit the fire fighters’ equipment fund.

I-85 traffic advisory

I-85 motorists northbound face daytime lane closure today and tomorrow in Franklin County, Georgia.  The state DOT announces that, weather permitting, Pittman Construction Company will be performing maintenance, causing single lane closings 9 am to 5 pm today and tomorrow.  Drivers should reduce speeds.  Delays are probable.
