Police chief trades badge for new assignment

The 14-year police chief in Lavonia, Georgia, Bruce Carlisle, has retired from the law enforcement profession. But he hasn’t retired retired. Carlisle is about to enter a new field that, like policing, centers on integrity. He has agreed to become the replacement supervisor of elections in neighboring Stephens County, Georgia.
