Evelyn Bond
Westminster – Evelyn Ida Marcengill Bond, 87, wife of the late Furman Bond, passed away Saturday, November 26th, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Marcengill Sr, and Ethel Owens Marcengill. Evelyn was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include sons, Terry Bond and wife Sharon of Westminster, Jerry Bond and wife Cindy of Westminster; daughter, Kay Bond of Westminster; and five grandchildren, Johannah Griffin, Corey Griffin (Samantha), Jamie Cowart, Jennifer Bond and Courtney Bryant (Brandon); eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson; brothers, Maurice Marcengill, Charlie Marcengill and Sammy Marcengill; and a sister, Kathalin Smith.
A Celebration of Life services will be held 4:00 pm, Thursday, December 1st, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
