Westminster Councilman Yusef Mefleh is hopeful that another vote during a budget preparation meeting will clinch the deal for his city to create two new police officers for his city for the year that will start July 1.  City budget troubles in the last few years have left the police department thinly staffed, and that’s worrisome to Mefleh and others.
