Small business loans available

The Small Business Administration approved $2,358,000 in loans late last week for tornado survivors in South Carolina. Aiken, Barnwell, Berkeley, Colleton, Hampton, Marlboro, Oconee, Orangeburg and Pickens counties are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans. Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations (including faith-based organizations) in the following adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans: Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Beaufort, Calhoun, Charleston, Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Dorchester, Edgefield, Florence, Georgetown, Greenville, Jasper, Lexington, Saluda and Williamsburg counties. Because of COVID-19 health precautions, SBA is conducting outreach virtually by opening a Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Center/Business Recovery Center (VDLOC/VBRC) to help survivors apply online.
