Arrests allege sex exploitation of minors

The state Attorney’s General announces the arrest of two Pickens County men on a total of 11 charges connected to an investigation into the sexual exploitation of minors.  The statement by Attorney General Wilson says the accused are a 22-year old Clemson student, Carson Alexander Radlein, and a 53-year old Clemson man, Henry Ervil Swinney III.  Published reports identify Swinney as the brother of Dabo Swinney, the Clemson football coach.  According to the AG’s news release:  “Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led them to both Swinney and Radlein.  Investigators state Swinney distributed child sexual abuse materials and Radlein was in possession of multiple files of child sexual abuse material.  Swinney was arrested on April 23, 2022.  He is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.  Radlein was arrested on April 29, 2022.  He is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree, a felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
