Arrest made in three-month police investigation

The crimes occurred in July in Seneca.  This week the city police are announcing details in the arrest of a 35-year old man charged with multiple offenses.  The man arrested yesterday afternoon is identified in law enforcement records as Jeremy Russell Davis—two addresses given:  The Clemson Ridge apartment complex on Northwoods Drive off the Wells Highway and the small north Georgia town of Talking Rock.  Jail records list the following charges against Davis:  financial identity fraud, malicious injury to real property, larceny, burglary second degree, and financial transaction card fraud.  The police response July 12 to Clemson Ridge apartments uncovered evidence that doors were pried open and stolen were seven packages belonging to apartment residents.  On July 9 the police took a report from a Seneca resident who reported a check had been removed from her mailbox.  The next day the police heard from a bank customer who said a withdrawal had been made which he had not authorized.  Chief of Police Casey Bowling said his officers traced Davis to Jasper, Georgia, where he had been jailed.
