Arrest involved accusations of counterfeit marks

An Asheville, North Carolina area man is under arrest in Oconee County, after sheriff’s officers investigated a complaint about the sale of fake gold bars.  According to authorities, charges were filed yesterday against Steven Cody Hargus of Zirconia, North Carolina.  A sheriff’s officer signed arrest affidavits that allege 42-year old Hargus “knowingly and willfully transport, transfer, distribute or sell an item having a counterfeit mark on it.”
