April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
To recognize April as “Child Abuse Prevention Month”, Oconee Sheriff’s Office is spearheading a donation drive for Fostering Faithfully. The drive is being conducted by two victim advocates–deputies Katrina Carter and Sonia Royal. They have a display table in the main lobby of the first floor of the sheriff’s office at 300 S. Church Street, Walhalla. Fostering Faithfully is a faith-based, non-profit organization that encourages and equips foster families and the children they love. Among the items most needed: diapers, sizes 3-6; and hygiene items, including shampoo, conditioners, body wash, kids toothpaste, and feminine products.
