An arrest after a shot fired

Casey Bowling, Seneca’s police chief, reported this morning one man in custody — the result of a loose dog complaint last night, an incident that escalated and the police received the assistance of the county’s “SWAT” team.  He described the location as a home on Seneca’s north side, on N. Pine at WN 4th.  The county’s expertise was requested, Bowling said, after a rifle shot was fired at a city officer.  Negotiations took hours, but Bowling said the suspect surrendered peacefully, ending at 6:30 am, an incident that started with a call to the police around 12:30 am.  This morning the police announced arrest warrants alleging attempted murder and weapons offenses against Zachary Ryan Louis Hackett.
