All testimony appears to have been completed

Both sides in the week-long Oconee civil court trial rested their cases last evening.  The proceedings resume at 9:30 this morning at the courthouse with closing arguments and the judge’s explanation of the law.  Then the jurors will retire to their private room to deliberate a verdict.  After the sale of 123 Seneca ByPass business property, the buyer filed a breach of contract suit against the seller.  Plaintiff’s witnesses this week testified to significant property erosion which, as part of due diligence, they testified, should have been disclosed prior to the sale.  Among yesterday’s final witnesses were two recall witnesses.  The plaintiff’s side recalled Terri Anderson, one of the buyers; the defense recalled its only witness, Larry Hoeben, the seller.
