“Aging infrastructure” takes bite out of Seneca utilities

Part of SC 28 near Seneca will remain closed to traffic for an indeterminate time, as Light and Water proceeds with what’s hoped to be a permanent solution to water line breaks affecting the northbound (to Walhalla) lanes.  Bob Faires, utilities superintendent, says there have been repeated failures in the old line there, but thanks to Oconee County and the allocation of some “ARCA” money, the line will be replaced.
