Ages 8 to 78 at a Central pickleball clinic

A member of Central Clemson Recreation Center, Gus Gustafson, organized an event to introduce pickleball to beginners. It’s a sport with similarities to ping pong and tennis.  Six experienced volunteers assisted Gustafson.  Leading small groups were Christine Lightsey, Mike Fisher, Ned Coryell, Richard Lowe, Sandra Lowe, and Laurie Sharrod.  They preached safety, rules, scoring, strategies and the like.  The clinic last Saturday attracted 30 interested learners, from the age of 8 to 78.
