A privilege that should be denied an illegal immigrant — Graham says

Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today said he opposes a District of Columbia Council decision which allows illegal immigrants to vote in local elections and signed onto a Senate resolution to block the measure from taking effect.

“Nothing should be more offensive to the American people than allowing illegal immigrants to participate in our elections,” said Graham.  “Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, it always does.  I completely support Senator Cotton’s efforts to stop the D.C. Council from allowing illegal immigrants and other foreign nationals to vote.”

Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Rep. James Comer (KY-01) introduced the joint resolution in the United States Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.  If passed by the House and Senate, and signed by the President, the joint resolution would prevent the D.C. Council’s proposed legislation from going into effect.
