A new eye in the sky at the jail

Oconee County Council will be asked to approve nearly $142 thousand to upgrade video surveillance in the jail, for the safety of both officers and inmates.  A new viceo recording server is offered by a Wisconsin company that would record all cameras a minimum of 60 days continuously.  According to staff, “This allows Detention Center staff to replay video of any situation that arises with an officer or an inmate.”
