A missive from Matthew Durham to Thomas Alexander

An Oconee County councilman wants his state senator to give the motoring public in the state relief from the rising prices at the pump.  This morning Matthew Durham, the District Two councilman, released a letter to Sen. Thomas Alexander calling on the Oconee-Pickens lawmaker to use his influence as the Senate president to author a bill–or support a measure–to suspend the state’s gas tax.  Durham told Alexander that Oconeeans and South Carolinians are being crushed by federal energy policies.
