A “data walk” for insights into local health

Invites have gone out for a health data walk this week to advance the cause of learning more about health challenges in Oconee County.  Good health is also tied to social issues faced by the community.  And, in the last handful of months, the Healthy Oconee Coalition has worked to assess the factors that affect health including an open ear to the opinions of the public.  From 10 am until noon tomorrow at Seneca’s Gignilliat Community Center, the coalition promises an event for insights into local health issues, including a chance to ask questions.  DHEC’s Misty Lee said, “The more we know, we are better positioned to tackle community health challenges head-on.”
