A “big dig” in little Fair Play

Large green PVC pipe aligned SC 59 at Fair Play, and crews were running front end loaders yesterday afternoon as part of a new phase of “Sewer South”.  Chris Eleazer, executive director of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority, says the pipe, believed to be 10 to 12-inch size, will be part of the force main from the Broomway Lane pump station to W. Fair Play Boulevard.  Eleazer, along with JRSA board chairman Brian Ramey, commissioner David Dial, and District Five Councilman Glenn Hart, spent hours yesterday riding the easements and checking the progress.  Eleazer commented, “Everything looked really good.”  Installing the pipe are crews from Moorhead Construction.
