A $415 thousand Seneca expenditure

Approving a recommendation, Seneca officials have agreed to make a $415 thousand expenditure to complement the city’s Harper’s Plaza project downtown.  Scott Moulder, city administrator, made the recommendation yesterday, as he presided over a meeting of the city’s Improvements Corporation.  Moulder gave an explanation of the complex layout and ownership of what used to be the anchor of a 5 and 10-cent store chain.  The property, since acquired by the city, is a major part of the continuing effort to revitalize old, vacant buildings downtown.  The money is to be paid to the Morgan-King family.  The purchase was one of two items on the corporation board’s agenda yesterday afternoon – the other being the poor condition of some of the walls in the former Harper’s building.
