9-11 remembrance service this morning

A short service this morning at Walhalla to remember the attacks on the U-S on 9-11 in the year 2001.  It’ll be an approximate 20-minute event starting at 9 this morning at the county’s 9-11 memorial off SC 183/N. Catherine Street, to the front of the middle school campus.  Many people who were of age in 2001 hold memories from the morning that U-S airliners were hijacked and used to kill and injure Americans.  WGOG employees remember that announcer George Allgood made phone contact with Lindsey Graham, a then U-S representative, who described the Pentagon smoke that he could see from his Washington apartment.
